About the Event:
The 19th Annual Summer Beer Festival will host more than 100 Michigan breweries sampling almost 1,000 different craft beers. Food will be available for purchase inside the festival, and guests will enjoy live music from a variety of Michigan bands.
The oldest of the Michigan Brewers Guild's four annual festivals, the Summer Beer Festival takes place rain or shine in the lovely outdoor setting of Ypsilanti's Riverside Park in historic Depot Town.

Tickets cost $40 for Friday's session ($45 at the gate, if available). Tickets for Saturday's session are SOLD OUT and additional tickets will NOT be available for sale at the event.
Enthusiast Pre-Sale Details:
To participate in the pre-sale, Enthusiast membership must be valid as of ONE MONTH PRIOR to the pre-sale (valid by March 26) AND have a current, unique email address on file with us. Enthusiasts can update their contact information by sending a request to our membership manager.
Each Enthusiast member will be entitled to buy ONE pre-sale ticket per festival session (i.e. one Friday ticket and one Saturday ticket).
Prior to the pre-sale event, Enthusiasts will receive a pre-sale invitation with a link to buy their pre-sale tickets. Each link is unique and is only good for one completed transaction - so please do not share your Enthusiast pre-sale invitation email with anyone. For technical reasons, we cannot send multiple pre-sale invitations to the same email address, so if you are an Enthusiast member sharing an email address with someone else, you will need to set up a unique email address for yourself if you'd like to participate in the pre-sale.
Michigan Brewers Guild Enthusiast members are invited to enter the festival one hour prior to general admission each day. You must present a valid membership card to enter early. Memberships can be purchased online from our web store.
The Michigan Brewers Guild utilizes drink tokens and specially marked cups to assure that we comply with Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations. Festival attendees are expected to willingly provide a token for each and every sample of beer received. We appreciate your cooperation.
15 drink tokens are included with admission and each drink token is redeemable for a 3 oz. sample of beer (note: a limited number of specialty beers may require multiple tokens). Additional tokens will be available inside the festival for 50 cents.

What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. The festival will occur rain or shine.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All festival attendees must be 21 or older to enter, even if they are designated drivers and are not drinking. A valid government ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) is required for festival entry, with NO exceptions.
Where do I pick up my tokens?
You can pick up tokens from the token tent immediately after entering the festival.
Why do I need to use tokens if I already paid for a ticket?
The Michigan Brewers Guild utilizes drink tokens and specially marked cups to assure that we comply with Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulation and have a controlled means of serving beer. All festivals attendees are expected to willingly provide a token for each and every sample of beer received. Thank you for your cooperation which keeps us in compliance with state law.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There will be no parking at Riverside Park, but you can find plenty of parking throughout Depot Town and the surrounding area. Free parking is just a short walk away - there's a large lot in Depot Town (north of Cross St. between Rice St. and River St.), as well as one east of Frog Island Park along Rice St., and another lot northeast of the old train depot along Depot Drive.
Street parking is also available along Cross St., River St. and other neighborhood streets around Depot Town. You can also find paid parking close to the festival in private parking lots and driveways.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The following items are not permitted on festival grounds: outside alcohol, glass containers, children (with the exception of immobile infants
- see FAQ below), animals, bicycles, skateboards, or rollerskates/rollerblades.
You may bring any of the following items with you to the festival: water and other non-alcoholic beverages in non-glass containers, food, coolers, hydration backpacks, folding/camping chairs, picnic blankets, umbrellas.
Can I bring my baby to the festival? What about a stroller?
Immobile infants are permitted inside the festival as long as they are in a baby backpack or carrier. Strollers are permitted, but not recommended, as the event will be crowded and the ground in the park is uneven and may be difficult to navigate with a stroller. Children old enough to walk on their own are not permitted into the festival, for their own safety.
Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes, tickets are transferable, and you don't need to do anything special to transfer your ticket - you can simply give your ticket to another person and they'll have no trouble getting in. Each bar code will only scan one time.
Can I sell my ticket to someone else?
Yes, you are permitted to sell your ticket at face value plus whatever service fee you paid online through Eventbrite. Michigan Brewers Guild does not permit scalping of tickets, which is illegal. We reserve the right to invalidate any tickets known to have been scalped.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You must bring a ticket with you to be scanned to allow you entry to the festival. This ticket can either be printed or can be the electronic version accessible on your smartphone or wireless device.
Can I buy a Designated Driver ticket and then buy tokens for drinks if I change my mind?
No. Servers will not pour beer to Designated Drivers, and anyone caught drinking on a Designated Driver ticket will be immediately ejected from the festival. If you want to drink any beer at the festival, you should plan on buying a full-price drinking ticket.
